The Romanian Academic Society (SAR) and the Center for Constitutional Law and Political Institutions of the University of Bucharest invite you to attend the

“Legitimacy of Modern State and Law in the Age of Globalization”

The event will take place on Friday, November 16, 2012 starting from 5pm in the Stoicescu Hall of the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest located on Bd M.Kogălniceanu no. 36-46 Bucharest.

The event is financed from the exploratory research project PN-II-ID-PCE-2011-3-0115 Governance/ Government – The Constitutional Semantics of Autonomy.The conference will be held by Professor ADAM CZARNOTA from the Faculty of Law, University of New South Wales, Australia.

The working language of the conference is English.

About Professor Adam Czarnota:

Adam Czarnota teaches legal sociology and EU law at the University of New South Wales’s Faculty of Law in Sydney, where he also co-directs the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of Law.  He was recently appointed (mandate 2013-2015) as new Scientific Director of the prestigious Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law. Adam Czarnota has published widely on post-communist transition, lustration, and the impact of EU enlargement on constitutionalism in Central and Eastern Europe.
