The Romanian Academic Society and the Alliance for a Clean Romania launched on the 15th of April, the Map of County-level Corruption together with an analysis of the corruption phenomenon in Romania, its tendencies, scaling and case studies. The event took place at the European Commission’s Representation in Romania.
In attendance were Alina Mungiu-Pippidi, Mihai Gotiu, Daniel Befu, Simona Popescu, Valentina Dimulescu, Nicusor Dan, Cristi Danilet, representatives of National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), as well as civil society activists, representatives of foreign embassies and journalists.
The map of county-level corruption is an online application addressed to all those interested in the activity of the National Anticorruption Directorate and the phenomenon of county-level corruption. The map enables users to access information related to the cases instrumented by the DNA prosecutors, in an user friendly format.

During the press conference the journalists from the Alliance for a Clean Romania presented a series of major corruption cases which were investigated by them. Also, the winners of the 2014 Clean Romania competition were announced.
