JURISTRAS looks at the relationship between courts of laws and politics, between macro-national human rights legislation and the domestic politics and policies in Europe. Specifically, it comparatively explores human rights-related trials the enforcement of European Court of Human Rights verdicts, as well as the effects of the latter on the national legislative reform and policy-making in a number of EU member states and Associate Candidate States. The project was completed in August, 2009.
