09.2010: Plea for Universal Literature – Introducing Universal Literature into School Curricula

On Tuesday, September 20, the Group for Social Dialog and Revista 22, in partnership with the National Cultural Fund Administration and the Romanian Academic Society held a debate on The Introduction of Universal Literature into School Curricula. The discussions moderated by Andrei Cornea and Cristian Hatu were attended, among others, by representatives of the Education Ministry, National Curriculum and Evaluation Center, specialized NGOs, as well as teachers and mass-media officials.

The starting points of the debate were the proposals made in last year’s SAR report, Why Universal Literature Should Be Taught in Schools.
